Quotaquom creates and grows focused companies at the intersection of industrial design, electronics, software, and operations. We make everyday systems work better, with technology that stays out of the way.

Our first product, DrumLatch, is an access platform for shared equipment. It is the first expression of a larger mission: building the physical systems that let software operate reliably in the real world.

We measure ourselves by how a product behaves on the hundredth day, not the first demo.

Founder story

Built with purpose

Quotaquom is shaped by a family tradition of practical problem-solving. Founder Frederick O. Mensah grew up with two distinct examples: his father's career directing complex projects in New York City, and the granduncle for whom he was named, who studied law in London during the 1950s before returning to Ghana and helping establish an early PVC pipe factory in Kumasi.

Their stories are not Quotaquom's credentials, but they helped form its outlook. Useful ideas deserve disciplined execution, and the best solutions quietly improve everyday life. Frederick carries that perspective into Quotaquom's work, beginning with drumlatch and the challenge of making shared laundry more secure, accountable, and dependable.

Our principles

Design for the real world: What we make has to survive vibration, humidity, impatient users, and imperfect connectivity. We design for that from day one.
One team, whole product: Industrial design, electronics, firmware, and software are built together. That is the only way the details line up.
Ship, then improve: We get working products into the field quickly and let real usage guide the next revision.
Build for operators: The people who install, manage, and maintain our systems are our customers too. If it does not make their day easier, it is not finished.

Quotaquom is founder-led and deliberately small. We work across industrial design, electronics, firmware, and software in-house, with manufacturing and deployment partners for scale.
